Shane Tallant

Television Host; Former Host of HGTV's "Designed to Sell"

Shane Tallant is a two time EMMY award winning host and journalist that got his start in television at the ripe old age of 21. After finishing a successful collegiate baseball career at NCAA div. II Flagler College, Shane went to work as an Entertainment Reporter for FOX 30 News in Jacksonville, Florida. Shane quickly became highly recognizable around town and could be seen at major sporting events, concerts and festivals as the face of the station.

Following two years in Jacksonville, Shane took his talents to his home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and became the entertainment reporter for the world famous KDKA-TV. It was here that he honed his journalistic and producing skills, covering everything from major concerts, co-hosting The Jerome Bettis Show and producing and hosting station promotions. While in Pittsburgh, Shane was recognized as one of Pittsburghs 50 Finest; and award given to the most successful professional men and women in town.

In 2003, Shane found himself living in San Francisco as the main host for The MIXX and The Daily MIXX; two popular entertainment programs on the WB affiliate (KBWB). Shane became respected member of the NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts and Science) and BFCA (Broadcasts Film Critics Association of America). As a film critic as well as a successful entertainment host, Shane interviewed virtually all of Hollywoods A-list, traveled abroad for world premieres and was often found on the red carpet of major motion pictures in Los Angeles and New York.

While working on the west coast, Shanes talents did not go unnoticed, because Shane was honored with his first EMMY in 2005 For Best Program Host. This is an award that is voted on by other members of the NATAS.

In early 2006, HGTV (Home and Garden Television) contacted Shane and his management about becoming the host of the networks highest rated show, Designed To Sell. This was a different road from entertainment reporting, but an avenue that would allow Shane the chance to work for a great network, host an unscripted program and help families sell their homes. Shane accepted their offer and moved to Washington, DC in April of that year. Shane spent the next 3 1/2 years hosting Designed to Sell. Shane, alongside the other cast members and Edelman Productions produced over 90 episodes (7 seasons). It was during this time that Shane became known for his now infamous tagline, Lets sell this place. Currently, Designed To Sell can be seen each day on HGTV.

In late 2009, Shane wanted to get back into reporting and hosting so he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to host Tennessee Mornings. Airing LIVE weekdays on FOX17 (WZTV), Shane took over for longtime host Charlie Chase and quickly became a staple in town. His quick wit and unique sense of humor was a breath of fresh air for the Nashville audiences. So much so that in 2010, Shane was awarded his second EMMY for his role in hosting the BEST MORNING SHOW. In the 10 year span of the program, it was its first ever EMMY win. Additionally, less than a year after moving to town, Shane was chosen as the #2 Favorite News Anchor by Nashville Scene Magazine and as one of the 25 Most Beautiful People by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine.

In October of 2010, Shane left Tennessee Mornings to venture out on his own and pursue his real passion, country music programming. In February of 2011, Shane launched Music City 411, a Nashville based entertainment magazine show with a focus on country music. Music City 411 is a unique, fresh and funny look into country music scene. Shanes personality and experience allows the artists to feel comfortable with him and it always makes for an entertaining interview.

In March of 2011, he married Autumn House, the VP of A&R at Capitol Records and in 2019, he joined Village, a brokerage agency in Tennessee. He has also made appearances in shows including Nashville, Country Strong and Changing Seasons.
