Shao-Lee Lin is Executive Vice President, head of research and development, and Chief Scientific Officer of Horizon Pharma. Prior to this, Lin was a corporate officer and vice president of therapeutic areas, development excellence, and international development at AbbVie. In this role, she led international development in all therapeutic areas and also led on-market and pipeline compounds in immunology, virology, neuroscience, and general medicine.

Before working at AbbVie, Lin was Vice President of inflammation and respiratory development at Gilead and Executive Medical Director of Global Development. She was also a clinical scholar at Rockefeller University.

Lin is a graduate of Rice University and earned her M.D. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
