Producer & Director, Most Known For "How High"
Shauna Garr is an American producer and entertainment executive in Hollywood. She is best known for producing the film How High with Universal Pictures which originally starred Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Lark Voorhies and Mike Epps. In 2021, Smith and Garr teamed up to form the production company Six AM. Six AM produces a diverse range of content for untold points of view for the young and young at heart. The company provides diverse talent and produces unique stories that touch a universal chord distributed across all platforms: theatrical, television, streaming, podcasts, publishing and emerging technologies.
In 2020, Garr sold “How High 3” to Universal 1440 which reteamed the hip hop duo Method Man and Redman. Garr and Smith also produced their first Audio Podcast series for Marvel, “Marvel/Method” which premiered on SiriusXM App exclusively in November 2020.
Garr began her career at "Wheel of Fortune" where she moved up the production ladder for five years, then went on to be a producer for MTV News in the 1990s. Segueing next to PBS, Garr won a $1.3 million grant to executive produce the eight part docu-soap series "The Ride". This series was a critical success and launched the career of actress Paula Patton. Garr is a former studio executive both at Disney and Paramount. A passion for discovering emerging talent and artists across disciplines and putting them on the map is is a major source of her inspiration.
