He has an avid belief in the concept of lifelong learning. For the last 20 years, Shawn has spent his time developing and implementing training programs on team building, communication, creativity and leadership. This has been in order to help people become more effective in the workplace and in their lives. Some clients include Pfizer, Comcast, Charter Media, IBM, Kraft, Microsoft, The Marines, The Ladders, and Los Alamos National Defense Laboratory.

From 2000-2003 Shawn co-founded a highly successful Corporate University for Comcast Cable, a Fortune One Hundred company. In the role of Vice President of Learning and Development, he developed comprehensive leadership programs for the supervisory, managerial and executive levels. He also oversaw the development of a broad based curriculum, which was used nationwide.

From 1998-2000, he developed a national training program for Comcast Advertising Sales. He developed highly successful sales training, leadership, and mentoring programs. For his achievements, he won the coveted Pinnacle Award for outstanding leadership.

Shawn is certified by DDI, The Winninger Institute, Miller–Hieman, and is a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC). He has also earned the distinction of ATM-B (Advanced Toastmaster-Bronze) from Toastmasters. He is the founder of Motivation Nation, the #1 motivation group on LinkedIn.

He is a member of The Toastmasters International and The National Speakers Association.

He has had articles published in Creative Training Techniques, Training and Development Magazine and Miller-Heiman’s Best Few. He has a monthly leadership column in B2B Magazine in the Philadelphia region. He is the author of ten books, including: The Ten Foundations of Motivation, The 10 Foundations of Leadership, Sales Science, The Managers Pocket Guide to Motivating Employees, The Managers Pocket Guide to Training , Cartoon Magic, Two Months to Motivation and Juiced!- How to be More Creative in Business and in Life! He has also recorded four CDs on creativity, motivation and presentation skills.
