Shelley Moore        

Inclusive Education Expert, Author & YouTuber

Shelley Moore is a highly sought after teacher, researcher, consultant and storyteller and she has worked with school districts and community organizations throughout both Canada and the United States to advocate for inclusive education. Her research and work has been featured at national and international conferences and is constructed based on theory and effective practices of inclusion, special education, curriculum and teacher professional development. She is also a sessional instructor at Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia and University Of British Columbia - Okanagan.

Moore has worked in both elementary and secondary schools supporting students with and without special needs in inclusive contexts in Alberta, New York and British Columbia. Her first book entitled, “One Without the Other” was released in July 2016 to follow up her TEDx talk hosted in Langley in January 2016. Moore then created the website, podcast and YouTube channel Five Moore Minutes dedicated to empowering schools and classrooms to support all learners. The video series offers resources, research, professional development activities and inspiration in bite sized five minute segments for busy educators.

Moore completed her undergraduate degree in Special Education at the University of Alberta, her masters at Simon Fraser University and was a SSHRC funded PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia.
