Sid Bass is an American investor and businessman who runs one of the countries larger private oil outfits, Bass Enterprises Production.

Sid Bass is an American investor and businessman who runs one of the countries larger private oil outfits, Bass Enterprises Production. Sid runs the business along with his brother Robert. Their father, Perry, inherited the family fortune created by oil baron Uncle Sid Richardson in 1959. Bass attended Yale and Stanford University where he received his MBA. In 1968 Sid took control of the family business, his investments included oil and gas. Along with his father and two of his brothers, he was also the largest shareholder in the The Walt Disney Company, from 1984 until after the stock market crash in 2001.

According to Forbes, Bass is the 200th richest person in America with a fortune of $2.1 billion. He has donated to several causes including his alma mater Yale University. He also gave a record gift of $25 million to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Sid Bass is available for speaking engagements, hosting and corporate appearances.
