“Technology is often seen as anything that doesn’t quite work, yet today we find ourselves living in a world confronted by an astonishing speed of disruptive change, preparing our children for jobs that don’t yet exist and using technologies not yet invented to solve problems that we can’t imagine. With the rate of paradigm shift now doubling every 10 years and price-performance doubling every 12 months, we are about to witness the convergence of computing technologies and the Internet in a manner that will change the nature of the business model we have become accustomed to. It’s vitally important for companies to grasp the implications of the disruptive changes that will swiftly shape their businesses in the coming years or risk being overtaken by the technology and becoming the victims of rapid evolution rather than the champions of successful change.”

Speech Topics

Disruptive Innovation & Laws of the Future.

Simon Moores examines the collision between the technologies surrounding computing, nanotechnology, graphene, 3D printing and genetics. Before the middle of this century, the growth rates in new technology will appear so steep as to appear vertical but while we may intuitively believe that the present rate of progress may continue unchanged, we must prepare ourselves for a very different-looking world with profound implications for society.

Big Data - Digital Alchemy.

New from Simon Moores, a compelling presentation on this year's hottest technology topic, 'Big Data.'

Big data has arrived, as cost-effective approaches have emerged to tame the volume, velocity and variability of massive dat stores. Within these, lie hidden valuable patterns and information, an internet exhaust trail, previously hidden, because of the amount of work required to extract it from unstructured sources.
