Skip Ewing, a singer and songwriter, has been a notable figure in the country music scene since 1988. His career spans nine studio albums and 15 singles that have made their way onto the Billboard country charts. Among these, his collaboration with Reba McEntire on the radio version of the single "Every Other Weekend" stands out, having reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Country Chart. Ewing's discography includes albums like "The Coast of Colorado" and "The Will to Love", as well as popular singles such as "Your Memory Wins Again" and "I Don't Have Far to Fall".

Ewing's songwriting prowess has been recognized by several prestigious institutions. In 2000, he received the Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) Songwriter of the Year award. Further accolades came from the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), which honored him with the Song of the Year award. Ewing also earned the Country Music Association (CMA) Triple Play Award for having three No. 1 songs within a span of 12 months. His songwriting contributions have also resulted in a CMA Song of the Year nomination, a Grammy nomination, a Tony nomination, and multiple BMI "Million Air" awards.

Beyond his successful career in music, Ewing also devotes his time to nurturing the next generation of songwriters. He organizes an annual songwriting retreat called Horse and Writer, designed to mentor aspiring songwriters. Ewing's continuous contributions to country music remain relevant to this day, with his latest single, "Knots," released in 2023.
