Sonia L. Aranza
Ms. Aranza was born in the Philippines, raised in Hawaii and traveled throughout the world including Russia, China, India, South America, various countries in Asia and over twelve European countries.
Ms. Aranza was born in the Philippines, raised in Hawaii and traveled throughout the world including Russia, China, India, South America, various countries in Asia and over twelve European countries. She currently resides in the Washington, DC area. She is a champion of causes that uplift disadvantaged communities and serves on several boards. She has received several awards for her work and has been featured in local, national and international publications including a volume of “Outstanding Women in America.” In 2002, The National Association of Professional Asian American Women selected Ms. Aranza as “Outstanding Woman of the Year.
Ms. Aranza earned two Masters degrees: an M.A. in Cross-Cultural Communication from the University of Hawaii and an M.A. in Public Communication from the American University in Washington, DC. She was an International Exchange Student to Russia while the region was still the Soviet Union. She received a B.A. in Communication from the University of Hawaii and continues to earn professional certifications from cutting-edge programs.
The U.S. Department of Labor described Ms. Aranza’s work as “outstanding!” She is an award-winning Keynote Speaker, Master Facilitator, Dynamic Trainer and Global Consultant specializing in Cross-Cultural Communications, Diversity Competitive Advantage and Leadership. She has well over a decade of solid experience in the design and implementation of professional programs and how to leverage a diverse workforce into a competitive advantage. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies and top organizations such as Chevron, Coca-Cola, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, NASA, Sodexho, State Farm Insurance, Texaco, Verizon, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Social Security Administration and more. Prior to establishing a full time consulting practice, Ms. Aranza provided over a decade of service as a Professional Staff Member in local, state and federal government including serving as Director of Constituent Relations for Hawaii’s Congressman Neil Abercrombie on Capitol Hill.
