Actress Known for her Roles in the ABC Series "Lost," ABC's "FlashForward" and "Common Law"

Sonya Walger is quickly establishing herself as one of Hollywood's rising starlets. She starred in 2004's The Librarian: Quest for the Spear, and earned a Saturn Award nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actress on Television. In 2001, she landed the lead role opposite Mike Binder in HBO's critically acclaimed show, The Mind of the Married Man. Binder recognized Walger's talent after working with her in the independent film, The Search for John Gissing, also starring Janeane Garofalo. Knowing he had a star on his hands, Binder cast her in the HBO show. However, the show lasted only two seasons and was canceled after the 2002 season. In 2003 she starred in the short-lived NBC series Coupling, which was based from the British series of the same name. Sonya was also featured in the movie Caffeine, which starred Mena Suvari and Katherine Heigl. Since 2006, Sonya has had a recurring role on the ABC hit series Lost, playing the role of Penelope Widmore.

Walger has been making a name for herself on both the silver and small screens since she arrived in Los Angeles three years ago. In early-2002, she starred in 40, a short film directed by Michael Caleo. She played the role of Zina in Remy Bartlett's Einstein, released in 2000. The talented actress also portrayed Lady Frances in the TV drama, All the Kings Men, opposite David Jason and William Ash, and played the part of Miriam in the 1999 movie Noah's Ark. Walger has appeared in a slew of theatrical plays including The Real Inspector Hound, Vilette, Apolyptica, and Hayfever.

Sonya Walger was born and raised in London, England. She studied English literature at Oxford University, performing in student plays in her spare time. Her passions and major were in literature until she discovered another form of expression, that of acting, and she has thrived in it since. Today, Walger spends her free time in London and Buenos Aires, where her father resides. Walger is fluent in Spanish and proud of her South American background. When Walger is not busy with her successful acting career she spends her time reading and writing.
