Sophia Amoruso

International Public Speaker, Founder & CEO of Nasty Gal, Author of "#GIRLBOSS"

Sophia Amoruso is the epitome of a modern entrepreneur; a founder, investor, and New York Times bestselling author. Amoruso rose from obscurity to found Nasty Gal, an e-commerce brand that began in a garage and scaled to over $100 million in capital. Amoruso’s grit, intelligence, creativity, and hands-on approach have made her a sought-after business keynote speaker and investor. She has spoken at LA Tech Week, TechCrunch Disrupt, NTWRK, and more.

Amoruso’s amazing story first appeared in her New York Times bestselling memoir "#GIRLBOSS," chronicling her early life and experiences as a founder. The book was later adapted into the 2017 Netflix series "Girlboss," starring Britt Robertson.

For her business success, she has been featured on the cover of Forbes magazine’s 2016 “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” issue and also featured in Fortune “40 under 40,” Forbes “30 under 30,” Inc. “30 under 30,” and Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business.”

Amoruso has since authored two other books— "Nasty Galaxy" and "The Girlboss Workbook" — and founded Business Class, a membership-based digital entrepreneurship community and course for founders, freelancers, solopreneurs, creators, and side hustlers.

Today, she has evolved into Sophia Amoruso 3.0, the founder and general partner of Trust Fund, an early-stage venture fund focused on pre- and seed-stage companies. Her fund has picked winners like Liquid Death, the producer of the popular canned mountain water from the Alps, which has since scaled to a billion-dollar company.
