Sophie Andrews is the CEO of The Silver Line, a non-profit help line in the United Kingdom that assists the older population. She spent 25 years as a volunteer for Samaritans and served as the organization's national chairman for three years before joining The Silver Line.

Andrews' own experiences prompted her to get involved with mental health and suicide prevention. She wrote the autobiography Scarred to document her own troubled childhood and later life experiences.
