Since 1991 Sophie Darlington has worked happily as a Filmmaker and Cinematographer specializing in natural history in remote locations throughout the world from 78° South to 78° North with a lot of Africa in between.

Her impressive list of credits includes 2021’s "Perfect Planet" (BBC), "Seven Worlds" (BBC), "Our Planet" (Netflix), as well as "Dynasties" (BBC) and "Earth Live" (National Geographic). Darlington was part of the core team that won the BAFTA for Cinematography in 2016 for "The Hunt" (BBC) and was accepted as a BAFTA member in 2018.

In the future Darlington plans to spend more time promoting the role of women and indigenous talent in the craft side of wildlife filmmaking as well as teaming up with young creatives with an expertise in technology to explore new techniques and alternative avenues for natural history content.
