Staci Warden      

CEO at Algorand Foundation; Former Executive Director of Global Market Development at the Milken Institute

Staci Warden is the CEO of the Algorand Foundation, a Singapore-based entity leading the blockchain network Algorand, where she also sits on the Board of Directors. Named by Forbes to their "50 Over 50: Investment" list in 2023, Warden has done business across 50 countries and has spoken widely about how cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and financial innovation can solve global problems and reduce poverty.

Prior to joining Algorand, Warden ran the Global Market Development Practice at the Milken Institute for eight years, leading initiatives on capital market development, FinTech financial inclusion, cryptocurrency and blockchain solutions. Prior to joining the Milken Institute, she spent six years running JPMorgan's Central Bank client franchise in Europe, Eurasia and Africa, and two years as part of its sovereign-debt-restructuring deal team. Previously, she was a director at Nasdaq, where she led its two initiatives for micro-cap companies and, in the public and non-profit sectors, had senior roles at the U.S. Treasury Department, the Center for Global Development, and the Harvard Institute for International Development.

In addition to the Algorand Foundation, Warden sits on the Boards of the Global Blockchain Business Council, the Rwandan Capital Market Authority, and the Energy for Growth Hub. She also serves on the advisory committees of the United Nations Capital Development Fund, the European Parliament’s Science and Technology Committee, the U.S. Financial Technology Association, and Evolution Environmental Asset Management.

Warden holds a master's of public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and completed her coursework for a Ph.D. in economics from Brandeis University.
