Advocate for Te Ao Māori, Christian Music Artist & Author of "Impossible: My Story"

Stan Walker is loved and respected as a staunch advocate for tangata Māori, love for his culture, pride for his people. His hope and joy for life he inspires in his roles as a musician, song writer, author actor and advocate for Te Ao Māori. His success as a New Zealand performing artist across such a variety of mediums is unparalleled. Not only has Walker earned nine Gold and nine Platinum singles as well as one Triple Platinum album, two platinum albums and one gold album in New Zealand.

He has collected eight New Zealand Music Awards along the way and five ARIA Music Award nominations. He has won the Waiata Māori Award for Radio Airplay Record of the Year five times, in 2010, 2011 and then 3 consecutive years in a row from 2013 – 2015.

Headlining his own National Tours, Walker has shared a touring stage with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Ciara, Jay Sean, Travie McCoy, Ja Rule, Akon and Jessica Mauboy. In August 2020, Walker released the track Bigger in Te Reo Māori and English to coincide with the announcement of his Harper Collins Autobiography, “Impossible” My Story" “Tua” the Te Reo Māori translation of “Bigger” has made history being the very first number 1 on the Te Reo Māori charts.
