Steph de Silva is a Ph.D. data scientist. She currently works in management consulting. Previously, she spent four years with the World Bank before going on to found her own boutique data science consultancy, Rex Analytics.

Steph has worked in analytic and statistical consulting roles for organisations including the National Parks and Wildlife Service, the Department of Communications and the Arts, industry and academic research groups, among others.She spent four years consulting for the World Bank as part of the organisation’s Pacific education team. She worked on projects for countries such as Laos, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor Leste and Vanuatu.

Steph is also a regular writer on business, investment and data science and has published with The Constant Investor. Steph has expertise across both data science and economics domains. She has worked on projects providing advice on machine learning, AI and digital productivity, database design and build, forecasting and modelling, randomised control trials and personal finance.
