Stephane Kasriel is VP of Payments at Facebook, overseeing the Payments product team.

He was previously CEO of freelancing website Upwork, where he led the company through its IPO in 2018. Before becoming CEO, he led Upwork’s product and engineering teams.

He was an early employee at PayPal serving as Global Head of Consumer Products, Global Head of Mobile Business Development, and Managing Director of PayPal France.

Kasriel is also the author of "Hire Fast & Build Things," an ebook on how to manage geographically distributed teams.

He has also held leadership roles at Fireclick, Work4, and Zong, and was a founder of Fireclick and iFeelGoods. He has played key roles in organizations including the World Economic Forum and the California Governor’s Future of Work Commission. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a MS from Stanford in Computer Science and a BS from Ecole Polytechnique in France.
