Stephanie Flanders is senior executive editor for economics at Bloomberg News and head of Bloomberg Economics. Previously, she was chief market strategist for Europe at J. P. Morgan Asset Management in London and economics editor for the BBC and “BBC Newsnight.” From 1997 to 2001, Flanders was a senior advisor and speechwriter to US treasury secretary Lawrence Summers. She has been a The New York Times reporter, principal editor of the UN Development Program’s 2002 Human Development Report, editorial writer and economics columnist at the Financial Times, and an economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and London Business School. Flanders chaired the Royal Society of Arts’ Inclusive Growth Commission.
