Stephanie Habif  

Doing healthcare behavior design as an independent consultant;

Dr. Stephanie Habif is a Bay Area health behavior scientist with 10+ years of experience leading corporate and start-up teams through user-centered design processes to achieve behavior change. She has led projects for companies such as Whole Foods Market, Aetna Inc, and Boeing by conducting in-depth user research, teaching behavior design workshops, and coordinating events that bring industries together to improve healthcare systems. Dr. Habif currently teaches at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (also known as: the d.school). Courses she has led in 2013 include “d.compress: designing calming technologies” and “the consumer mind and behavior design.” She has held teaching appointments at Columbia University, University of North Carolina, Washington University at St. Louis, and Victoria University of Technology. Dr. Habif is an affiliate of the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab. She earned her doctorate in Health Behavior Science at Columbia University, her masters in Psychology at Springfield College, and her bachelors at Washington University in St. Louis.
