Stephanie Shyu and Lydia Fayal  

Co-Founders of AdmitSee

Lydia Fayal and Stephanie Shyu are the Co-Founders of AdmitSee, known as the "LinkedIn for College Seekers" (USA Today). The website is primarily known for its database of tens of thousands of college application files, essays, and resumes. They founded the company while attending law school with the mission of bringing much-need transparency to higher ed admissions. What began as a boot-strapped project between friends is now venture backed by "Silicon Valley Heavyweights" (TechCrunch title).

Lydia attended Johns Hopkins, the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Lydia previously worked at International Creative Management, optioning book rights for film development in their Los Angeles and New York offices. She also has experience as a college consultant and test prep tutor for various companies including Kaplan and Omnitest.

Stephanie attended Duke, the University of Pennsylvania Law School and University of Hong Kong. Prior to grad school, Stephanie worked as a reporter and producer at a financial news startup. Her passion for access to education led her to found a charity funding the secondary education of high-achieving female students in rural China.

Both have appeared in numerous video segments, podcasts and panels, including Fox Business's Risk & Reward with Deirdre Bolton, Wall Street Journal's Lunch Break Live, USA Today video segments, Draper Speaker Series.

Lydia and Stephanie made the Forbes 30 Under 30 List as Influencers in Education. AdmitSee has been featured in Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Time, USA Today, Fast Company, Inc., Business Insider.
