Steve Lackey is BNY Mellon’s Chairman of Asia Pacific and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

In this capacity, Steve directs and manages the execution of the company’s overall business strategy for the region, which includes 16 offices in 12 countries. Additionally, he served as a non-executive director and member of the Audit Committee for Wing Hang Bank Ltd from 2011-2014.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Steve served as BNY Mellon’s director of global corporate development and investor relations functions, overseeing the company’s merger and acquisitions activities and its relationships with shareholders and equity/debt analysts.

During his tenure with the company, Steve has held a range of client-focused assignments based in London, Sydney, Pittsburgh and Denver, including his leadership of units that supported multinational clients, communications and technology clients and specialized industries clients.

Steve received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
