Stephine Poston        

Co-Founder of Native Women Lead

Stephine Poston is one of the co-founders of Native Women Lead (NWL), an organization she helped establish to invest in, and provide loans to, Native women founding and running businesses. She is also the founder of Poston & Associates, a full-service communications firm specializing in serving the Native American population.

Under Poston’s guidance, NWL has piloted three lending programs to help Indigenous businesses in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. She also launched the Matriarch Restoration Fund and the Creative Fund, which cumulatively offer $5,000-$50,000 loans at 3%-5% to Native women artists, makers, crafters and creatives in the Indigenous communities.

Poston has received many accolades for her work including being named an Albuquerque Business First Women of Influence; a Native Woman Business Owner of the Year by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development; and a Native Business Magazine Top 50 Entrepreneur. She is a past honoree of the Anderson School of Management Hall of Fame at the University of New Mexico​ and a 2023 honoree on Forbes' 50 Over 50 list.
