Steve Moore  

Economic Policy Expert, Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Author

Stephen Moore was born in Colorado and grew up in Southern California. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed his Master’s of Arts in Economics from George Mason University. Initially, he worked as a senior economics writer for The Wall Street Journal, focusing on Washington policy debates and state fiscal policies.

Moore's deep commitment to economic policy further led him to a role as a member of The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board. He has been pivotal in founding influential organizations such as the Club for Growth and the Free Enterprise Fund, aimed at supporting conservative economic policies and candidates. Moore also served as a senior economic advisor for the Trump campaign. Currently, he holds the position of Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Project for Economic Growth at The Heritage Foundation, where he works on advancing public policies that enhance economic growth, budget, fiscal, and monetary policy.

In his career, Moore has been instrumental in shaping public understanding of economic issues through various media. He has authored books including "Dibs on His Clubs," a golf book published by Andrews McMeel Publishing, and "The Best of In the Bleachers," published by Warner Books.
