Former NFL Punter; President & CEO of Weatherford FIT

Steve Weatherford is a former American football punter who played college football at Illinois before being signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He has been a member of the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, and New York Giants. Key highlights of his career include winning Super Bowl XLVI with the Giants, being a first-team All-Big Ten selection, and tying the record for most punts inside the 20-yard line in a single season with 42 during the 2010 season. He also holds a record for his longest punt of 71 yards.

In June 2013, Weatherford graduated from the seventh annual NFL Broadcast Boot Camp in Mt. Laurel, NJ, where he has since held substitute sports broadcaster positions on Good Day New York, ESPN SportsNation, NFL AM, SI Now, and many others. His broadcasting career also extends to appearances on various television shows and radio programs.

Off the field, Weatherford has appeared in various media outlets, discussing a range of topics, including sports, health and fitness, family, fashion, and philanthropy. He has also gained recognition for his impressive physique and strength, which include the ability to squat 475 pounds and bench press almost 400 pounds.

Weatherford is nationally recognized for his philanthropic work, which focuses on children, health and fitness, and family causes. He has established several charities in his hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana, including Rush the Punter and Kicks for Kids. The NY Giants have recognized his considerable community service contributions, awarding him the prestigious Wellington Mara Award.

In 2013, Weatherford was appointed as the Health and Fitness Ambassador of the Boys and Girls Club in New Jersey, where he serves as a role model, mentor, and fitness and nutrition coach to over 80,000 kids. He also took up the role of “head coach” for Wellness in the Schools, actively promoting recess fitness programs for more than 77,000 students in the NY metro area.

Outside his football and philanthropic endeavors, Weatherford founded his own fitness and nutrition company, Weatherford FIT, and has been actively involved in various other organizations, including Second Chance Toys, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Steve Weatherford Charity for Ghana.
