Steven Ji, a partner at Sequoia Capital China, debuts this year in the top 25 thanks to a string of recent public exits in Dianping.com (IPO 2013), Jumei (IPO 2014) and Tuniu (IPO 2014), with classifieds operator Ganji expected to go public in 2015. An engineer by training, Ji has a master's degree in aeronautics and was one of the first employees at Seagate Technology China. After that, he switched over to investing in wireless, Internet and semiconductor businesses in China, working for several firms before parking at Sequoia in 2005.
