Sue Zemanick

Executive Chef of Gautreau's & Ivy, Food & Wine Best New Chef, James Beard Award Winner & Top Chef Master

New Orleans-based Sue Zemanick is the executive chef of Gautreau's Restaurant and her latest venture Ivy. In 2008, Food & Wine magazine named Zemanick one of the top ten best new chefs in America, a title later reflected in her five James Beard nominations, three of which were amassed before she turned 30. In addition to her Season 3 stint on Top Chef Masters, the 2013 Best Chef South James Beard nominee has appeared on the Today show and the Food Network.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Zemanick was drawn to her adopted hometown by a love for all things fish and seafood, a passion that only grew stronger as she put roots down in the city in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill. Since then, Zemanick has worked to help sustain the Gulf Coast while contributing new ideas and energy to an internationally beloved culinary scene.
