Sunil Bharti Mittal is the Founder, Chairman and the Group CEO of Bharti Enterprises headquartered at New Delhi, India. Bharti Enterprises is one of India’s leading business groups with interests in telecom, financial services, retail, manufacturing and agri-business.

Bharti Airtel Limited, a group company of Bharti Enterprises, is India’s leading integrated telecom services provider. Bharti also has joint ventures with AXA for financial services, with Wal-Mart for retail, and with Del Monte for its agri-business.

Sunil started his career at the age of 18 and today, at 50, heads a successful enterprise with a market capitalization of approximately US$40 billion and employing over 30,000 people. He has been conferred with one of India’s highest civilian awards, Padma Bhushan, and has been recently honored with the GSM Association Chairman’s Award 2008.

He is also the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in New Delhi, India.
