Sunny Sanwar    

Founder of Verd2GO

Sunny Sanwar is the founder of Verd2GO. He is an engineer, entrepreneur and social scientist, unraveling the drivers and outcomes of innovation in energy markets, tracing the interplay among institutions, public policy and market behavior. He combines finely grained empirical analysis of observational data and custom-designed data collection methods to build and test entirely new datasets and models about global energy technological changes.

By 22, Sanwar developed and commercialized lithium-polymer battery packs, and has worked to scale them up from 1kwh to 1mwh. In 2016 he sold his battery venture Verd2Go for $2 million to Exergonix, where he now leads development of large-scale utility, rooftop solar and energy storage, having completed nearly 100 projects. He recently founded Dynamhex, which is developing an intelligence platform for cities and municipalities to plan emissions targets by reducing energy consumption.

Sunny won the ACS Heinz von Foerster Award, and is was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for the Energy Sector in 2019.

He teaches undergraduate and MBA students in entrepreneurship at University of Missouri - Kansas City Business School.
