Suren Chellappah is global head of risk for the Sanford C. Bernstein Group, as well as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Bernstein's European business. Prior to joining Bernstein in 2003, Chellappah was chief financial officer for Instinet's European broker-dealer business. He began his career at Prudential Corporation. Chellappah is a fellow of both the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He holds a BSc. in civil engineering from University College, Swansea, and an M.B.A. from Henley Management College.
