Co-Founder & President, Mars Academy USA

Dr Susan Jewell has been involved in the areas of astronautics, space exploration, healthcare, S.T.EA.M education, and entrepreneurship. She is a veteran “Analog Astronaut Astropreneur”, space educator, and scientist. An alumni of Singularity University, SU, and International Space University, ISU and currently heading the expansion of SingularityU Los Angeles Chapter. Susan is co-founder of Mars Academy USA, Mars Without Borders, and Space Surgery Institute. These organizations are focused on exponential technologies, innovative concepts, and R&D in order to improve quality of life in Space and on Earth. Additionally they are platforms for promoting S.T.E.A.M.E.DTM education programs and to “…envision excellence in exponential exploration and design…” for pioneering new ideas and technologies to support human spaceflight and settlements on Moon, Mars and Beyond.

Susan’s vision and mission for Mars Academy USA is to focus on training Next Gen Analog Astronauts, Imagineers, Astropreneurs and Citizen Scientists. Additionally, she is passionate about the empowerment and engagement of women and girls to enter STEAM fields and to become future leaders for the 21st Century and beyond. In fact, Susan envision the first human to step foot on Mars to be a women which will represent a “giant leap for Mankind” and advancement for Humanity. Dr Jewell has been recognised for her longterm dedication in space exploration and STEAM advocacy. She is the recipient of many awards including the Aerospace Medical Association’s “Marie Marvinght Award in Technologies and Innovations for Space Exploration” and the National Space Foundation “Living in Space” Award for her research in analog astronautics and Mars research.
