Susan Rancourt brings over 25 years of experience in progressively complex business roles in the high tech industry. Spanning nearly every functional area, her roles have included financial services, marketing, corporate planning, strategy, developer relations, business development and partner relations. In her role with Blue Beyond Consulting, Rancourt is focused on business development and client development. Her approach is based on a commitment to respectful collaboration and authentic relationship building as cornerstones of professional engagements. Rancourt joined Apple Computer in 1983 as financial services manager for the Northeast region. After moving to the Bay Area in 1988, she led the ‘green field’ startup of Apple’s Financial Services group in the Asia Pacific region. During Apple’s downturn in 1996-1997, Rancourt was recruited to Sun Microsystems as a strategist in SunSoft. Her roles also included Sun’s Wireless Business Group and J2ME (Java Micro Edition) Marketing client management of Nokia, Siemens, and Sony Ericsson. She joined The Sage Group in 2009 as their first VP, business development. This also was ‘green field’ and she successfully built Sage’s high tech vertical market to a very substantial portion of the company’s revenue.
