I'm a wellness writer, health coach and whole food cook based in New York City. My two passions have always been food and writing, so I'm so happy to combine these passions in my work. As a foodie and health expert, I love to coach clients to find vegetable variety and cook delicious food. I'm the author of The After Cancer Diet: How To Live Healthier Than Ever Before, and I teamed up with my dad, a cancer physician for more than 25 years, to write it. We want to empower cancer survivors with easy tips to improve their health and lifestyle after going through active treatment. I'm a current volunteer at You Can Thrive in New York City, offering free nutrition coaching to breast cancer survivors.

I have been researching, writing and editing about health, food politics and gardening for more than a decade in many different publications including Mother Jones Magazine, VitalJuice.com, Inhabitat.com, EmpowHer.com and others. I co-wrote and edited Integrative Nutrition: Feed Your Hunger for Health and Happiness and contributed to the Go Green East Harlem Cookbook with the Manhattan Borough president.

I'm a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have an advanced certificate in Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and received training as a California-certified Master Gardener.

I've lectured at Columbia Medical Center to cancer survivors, at the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA in Connecticut and the Annual Florida Society of Gynecologic Oncology Meeting.
