Sylvain White      

TV & Film Director Known for "Stomp the Yard" and "The Losers"

Sylvain White was born in Paris, France, to an American professional basketball player and a French flight attendant. He attended La Sorbonne University for law and earned a scholarship to Pomona College in Los Angeles. After his graduation from Pomona College, a series of award-winning short films led him to direct a series of groundbreaking music videos and commercials in the US, Europe and Japan.

White's debut feature film, 2007's Stomp the Yard, debuted at #1 in the United States. In 2010, he directed the action-comedy The Losers, which starred Chris Evans, Idris Elba and Zoe Saldana. He directed the horror film Slender Man, which premiered in August 2018.

In France, White is known for the murder mystery film The Mark of the Angels, starring Gérard Depardieu, which he both wrote and directed.

White is also an acclaimed TV director, having directed for shows including "CSI," "The Americans," "Hawaii Five-0," "Sleepy Hollow" and "Person of Interest."
