Sylvia Metayer is CEO Worldwide of Sodexo’s Corporate Services Segment, which serves all Sodexo’s clients in Business, Industry and Services sectors, in 60 countries. She is a member of the Sodexo’s Group Executive Committee.

Sylvia first joined Sodexo in 2006 as Group Financial Controller, was CFO for Sodexo’s On-site Services operations in Europe, and then President of International Large Accounts. Since 2009, as President of Sodexo’s International Large Accounts, she had the responsibility to support and develop partnerships with Sodexo’s top global clients.

Before joining Sodexo, Sylvia was Chief Operating Officer at Houghton Mifflin, a Boston-based educational publisher, and President of its Assessment Services division. Sylvia began her professional career as an auditor in the Paris office of Arthur Andersen before going on to hold key financial positions with Danone, Mattel and Vivendi.

Sylvia is a trustee of the Quebec Labrador Foundation, a member of the European Professional Women’s Network and of HEC au Féminin. She is also a former Board Member of the New England Franco American Chamber of Commerce. Within Sodexo, she is the Executive Sponsor of Sodexo PRIDE, Sodexo’s LGBT network, and a founding member of SWIFT, Sodexo’s Women network.

Sylvia holds Canadian, French and British citizenships, and holds a business degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Paris, France. She’s also a graduate of Queen’s University, Canada and the University of Ottawa, Canada.
