Award-winning television journalist & pop culture commentator

Tabitha Soren is an award-winning reporter and television anchor. She is perhaps best known for MTV's Choose or Lose 1992 presidential election coverage, which garnered a Peabody award and secured her position as chief political correspondent for Choose or Lose in 1996. In 1998, Soren was the recipient of the prestigious John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University.

Throughout her eight years at MTV News, Soren has conducted one-on-one interviews with some of the most influential political figures of our time, including President Bill Clinton, President George Bush, Yassir Arafat, Newt Gingrich, John McCain and Bob Dole. She has also delved into the lives of such pop culture icons as R.E.M, Mariah Carey and the late Tupac Shakur.

In addition to her journalism career, Soren has branched out into work on a wide variety of documentaries. She produced, wrote, edited and developed reports tackling such controversial social issues as women in the military, teen pregnancy and the sexual abuse of children. Soren has also created reports on international issues, including close looks at young Palestinian and Bosnian revolutionaries.

At the lecture podium, Soren takes audiences inside modern politics, offering her views on the 2000 elections and what their outcome holds for American youth. She also recounts her escapades as a political correspondent, sharing the moments that the cameras didn't catch. In addition, Soren draws on her experience with some of the world's foremost dignitaries, to reveal secrets of successful interviewing.
