Technical Experts Coordinator and Program Implementation Manager for Trinidad and Tobago, Federation of Canadian Municipalities - CARILED

I've worked in various policy prgrams in Trinidad; as an Economist Trainee in the Trade Directorate at the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Trade and Industry, I assisted in Trade and Policy formulation and development of contracts as well as national and regional strategic positions in order to facilitate development and gain market access for Trinidad and Tobago. I have worked Research Officer at the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Service Industries where I managed a Caribbean Development Bank CARTfund project, as well as providing trade advice and market intelligence. I also managed an international project funded by Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF), through the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) titled “ The CARICOM Food Security Project” this project has several partners including; Mc Gill University Canada, Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute (CFNI), Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), and Caribbean Environmental Health Institute (CEHI) among others including Governmental agencies.I hold a Masters of Business Administration from Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics from Florida International University both with honors. I am currently the Technical Experts Coordinator and Program Implementation Manager for a CIDA fundede program CARILED which is being implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. This is a CARICOM wide project spanning all 14 countries promoting Local Economic Development.I am very passionate about development in the region and Trinidad.
