Award-Winning Global Human Rights, Climate Change & Public Health Policy Expert; Former Senior Advisor for Stakeholder Engagement at the United Nations

Tala Dowlatshahi is an award-winning public speaker and BIPOC executive leader with extensive experience addressing pressing policy issues in the areas of climate change, food insecurity, education, health, and environmental sustainability. She was recently ranked as a Top Non Profit Program Development Voice by Linkedin. Dowlatshahi is an active member of the Women in International Affairs network and has contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at promoting peace, women and youth empowerment, and transparent and accountable governments and social systems. She has been working at the intersection of human rights, sustainable development, and global health security over the span of her over twenty-year career.

Dowlatshahi currently serves on the advisory board of Geneva Macro Labs, a global organization which leverages the collective intelligence of its community to accelerate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a Think-and-Do-Tank, it promotes exchange between experts, investors, and community members to design and implement innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Dowlatshahi provides expert guidance on community and participatory approaches, and citizen engagement and responses and organizes interactive panels for senior leadership focused on the digital divide, including a recent panel on bias in Algorithmic datasets.

Earlier in her career, she served as a Senior Advisor for the UN Office of the President of the General Assembly where she developed interactive stakeholder briefings with high level members of governments focused on the establishment, roll-out and implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030), and worked for over a decade for the global press and freedom of expression organization, Reporters sans Frontieres.
