The Financial District’s iconic Charging Bull sculpture has met its match in the form of a defiant girl statue, planted by ad agency McCann New York to recognize State Street Global Advisors’ push to get more women on corporate boards.

The statue was installed on March 7, 2017—the day before International Women's Day—by State Street Global Advisors, in a campaign developed by advertising agency McCann New York.
