Tamar Bercovici is Director of Engineering at Box where she leads the Distributed Data and Compute Team in scaling Box’s database and compute infrastructure. Tamar has been frequently invited to speak on database architecture as well as her technical leadership in various leading technology conferences like Percona, Velocity, @Scale and Grace Hopper. She was also named one of Business Insider’s 22 most powerful women engineers in tech.

Prior to Box, Tamar was an early-stage employee at XMPie (now a Xerox company). Tamar holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
