Diplomat Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt

Tamim Khallaf has been a diplomat in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the past 10 years. He served in Egypt's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, dealing with disarmament and non-proliferation issues with a particular focus on nuclear non-proliferation. As a recipient of the British Chevening Scholarship Award, he received a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE). He also has a Master of Arts in Political Science from the American University in Cairo. Khallaf was a Fellow at Harvard University's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs where he pursued research on nuclear non-proliferation and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the Middle East. He was also a Visiting Fellow at the James Martin Center for Non-Proliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California. Khallaf is the recipient of the Sasakawa Young Leaders Graduate Scholar Award.
