Tammy Lenski

Conflict resolution and negotiation innovator adept at turning conflict into opportunity

Interpersonal conflict, workplace conflict, and group conflict innovator Dr. Tammy Lenski is a conflict resolution expert adept at turning conflict into growth and opportunity -- and teaching others to do the same. For 15 years as a master mediator, consultant, speaker, and writer she has ignited radical problem-solving shifts, inspired individuals to fine-tune their persuasive voice, and untangled complex states of group and interpersonal conflict.

Tammy’s conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation presentations are keynotes, speeches and seminars about turning conflict into opportunity. Weaving provocative stories with practical tips from almost two decades of organizational conflict management experience, she translates powerful ideas into actionable messages that leave audiences inspired and energized. Known for her highly engaging and approachable style, Tammy speaks for audiences large and small, and educates both in person and online.

Founder and principal of Tammy Lenski LLC, a conflict resolution firm serving organizations, groups, and individuals worldwide, Tammy has keynoted conferences across the U.S.; trained thousands to be better conflict resolvers, negotiators, and mediators; and mediated complex matters as diverse as multi-million dollar estates, business partner disputes, executive team conflict, and conflict between couples wishing to avoid divorce.

Prior to founding her firm, Tammy had more than a decade of experience as a college vice president, dean and faculty member. Tammy earned her bachelor’s degree in world literature from Middlebury College, her master’s and doctoral degrees in higher education with an emphasis on adult learning and behavior change from The University of Vermont, and her post-grad certificate (500 hours) in mediation and conflict management from Woodbury College, where she later served for a decade on the core faculty of the nationally recognized Mediation & Applied Conflict Studies program. She is presently a guest lecturer at Lipscomb University’s Institute for Conflict Management.

Tammy’s award-winning book for mediators, Making Mediation Your Day Job, was a ForeWord Review 2009 Book of the Year Finalist. Her conflict resolution and negotiation articles and advice have been featured in numerous media outlets, including Redbook, Working Mother, HOW Magazine, Monster.com and WMUR/ABC News.
