Tammy Trull

Harsh Times, Havoc, Target, ABC's "Invasion"

Born to a Venezuelan mother and a Cuban father, Tammy Trull is a versatile and passionate actor who learned English watching Sesame Street with her mother. After graduating with a degree in acting, she moved to New York City, where she was soon cast in ALL NIGHT BODEGA (an official selection at the Slamdance Festival). In this gritty film she played Venus, a Puerto Rican teenager who falls in with a bad crowd. Her work on this film garnered the award for Best Actor at the Brooklyn International Film Festival and for Best New Performance at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in 2003.

Although she hasn't been in the business long, she feels lucky for the work she's done so far. She enjoys the chance to speak someone else's words and be in another person's skin. Most of all, she welcomes the opportunity to move people by her performances. She revels in challenging roles and is impressed with stellar writing.

Trull has had leading roles in the crime comedy BRISTOL BOYS and the action film TARGET, as well as supporting roles in NEXT EXIT and HAVOC, a crime drama set in East Los Angeles.

Trull's television work includes a recurring role on Nickelodeon's The Brothers Garcia and guest-starring roles on the Lifetime drama Strong Medicine and on the ABC's drama Invasion.

Her extensive theater work includes the title role in The Katherine Calamity. She has also starred in Friend of the Deceased, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's performance of The King Stag, Rutgers' Theater Company productions of The Raft Of The Medusa, Only Children, Catholic School Girls, The Good Doctor, Crime and Punishment, Our Country, and Generation X. She has also appeared in the London Academy of Theatre.

Tammy hopes to continue making meaningful independent films and to grow as an artist.

She admires and is inspired by such actors as Sally Field, Meryl Streep and all those versatile artists whose body of work defies categorization.

A native of New Jersey, Tammy now resides in Los Angeles. In her spare time she enjoys doing yoga, attending a Spanish-speaking Bible study group, and seeing movies.
