Tania Katan

Innovation Trainer, Creativity Speaker, Best-Selling Author, Co-Creator #ItWasNeverADress

As the Curator of Performing Arts for Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Katan created innovative programs like Arm Wrestling for Art and Lit Lounge that—in addition to terrifying the board of the directors—increased museum attendance, revenue, earned media, and employee engagement threefold.

From contemporary art, Katan made the audacious leap into technology as the Brand Evangelist for Axosoft, where she co-created the internationally viral campaign, #ItWasNeverADress, a social movement that has inspired over 50 million people worldwide to see, hear and celebrate women for the cape-wearing badasses they are.

Now, Katan travels the world speaking, teaching workshops, and helping human beings experience the breakthroughs necessary to spark a creative revolution at work and in life. She has keynoted at some of the leading conferences and companies in the world, including CiscoLive!, Expedia, Uber, S.H.E. Summit, Amazon, Etsy, Talks at Google, Business of Software, Humana, TEDx, Comedy Central Stage, and many more.

Katan’s transformative work has also appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, HuffPost, TIME, BuzzFeed, CNN, Adweek, Mashable, Money Magazine, Forbes, NPR, ReadWrite and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, among others. Katan is the co-founder of the Italy-based program, Topography of Memory. She holds a B.A. in Theater, is a graduate of Creative Capital’s Professional Development Program, is a certified anti-bias and diversity trainer, and a proud board member of the Museum of Walking.
