Women in STEM: How to motivate girls to innovate

To help increase the number of women in innovation, having successful role models is key to help keep you motivated and driven to succeed. This workshop will present simple project management retrospective review tools, to focus teams on what went well, what can be improved, what lessons learned and what actions can be taken to continuously innovate and move science forward. The session will summarize Ms. Ghosh’s four-decade journey in science and culminates with her greatest scientific experimental result.

Leadership through Agile Product Development

Agile can be implemented differently depending on the company, the organizational processes and the industry. This workshop will present how to lead teams of men and women using Kanban, Scrum and the Agile Framework for hardware and software development in any industry. The session includes real-world examples of Agile design, manufacturing, test and installations of complex drug-device combination products for nuclear medicine, computer-assisted medical device surgical systems, undersea telecommunications systems, microgravity payloads and space systems; patient monitoring telemedicine hardware/software, pediatric sleep apnea expert system software, and complex platforms compliant with global quality systems and international regulatory requirements.

Diversity, equity and inclusion: Leading Triplet girls to the C-suite

Women in science-based jobs are leaving, frustrated with sexism, bias and the lack of opportunities for progression. This presentation will address girls engagement in science, recruitment and retention of women leaders from elementary school to the C-suite. The session will include biases pushing girls out of STEM and what can be done about it.
