Tara Tiger Brown has designed, developed and led innovative software development projects for 15 years. Throughout her career Tara has always stayed current with emerging concepts. Her primary focus is on excellent user experience, anywhere data access, online communities, and open platforms.

She is currently immersed in designing and managing the Teach Me Stuff Service, a digital media learning (DML) platform that matches interest-driven learners with mentors.

Previously she co-founded Noot, a real-time interactive mobile sports game and before that worked at Shazam, Topspin and Microsoft.

Tara is passionate about getting more women into the technology field and regularly blogs about it at [ForbesWoman] (blogs.forbes.com/tarabrown/). In addition she founded a ladies technology group, LAdy Tacos and is an Anita Borg Syster.

She wrote a controversial piece on geek culture that reached #1 in popularity on Forbes: "Dear Fake Geek Girls: Please Go Away."

Tara is Co-organizer for Transmedia LA with over 400 members. Speakers have included Henry Jenkins, Jeff Gomez, Lance Weiler, Flint Dille, and Elan Lee. Her current Transmedia projects include: Flotsam: A Children's Transmedia Play Experience developed by USC Annenberg Innovation Lab and The Alchemists and Austrian Indie Film: Sierra-Zulu.

In her spare time she works on viral projects: Cat Workout and crowdsourced music videos: We Are The Doorways.
