Tarun Chhabra is a nonresident senior fellow with the Managing Global Order project at the Brookings Institution. He is also a fellow of the Truman National Security Project. He is completing a doctorate in international relations at the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar and earned a M.Phil. in international relations.

Chhabra previously was a graduate fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University; an adviser in the Executive Office of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan; a consultant and speechwriter for the Norwegian Foreign Ministry; and a Fulbright fellow at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations. He is a Phi Beta Kappa and honors graduate of Stanford (B.A.) and Harvard Law School (J.D.), where he was a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow for New Americans.
