Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Japan

Tatsuo Yamasaki is Japan's vice minister of finance for international affairs, having attained that post in July 2014. Prior to that, he was director-general of the International Bureau of the Japanese Ministry of Finance for two years, after serving two years as senior deputy director-general of the bureau. From 2008 through 2010, he worked as the deputy commissioner for international affairs of Japan's Financial Services Agency. During that time, he also served as vice chairman of the executive committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Between 2000 and 2008, he was a director and deputy director-general in the Finance Ministry's International Bureau. Yamasaki worked as a chief economist of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation from 1997 to 2000, based in Singapore.
