Taylor Cassidy
Social Media Creator & Mental Health Advocate; Known for "Fast Black History" & "Black Girl Magic Minute"
Spearheading social media, Taylor Cassidy is a prominent content creator on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where she educates millions on unsung Black history figures. Her engaging series "Fast Black History" and "Black Girl Magic Minute" have been instrumental in her advocacy for inclusion, representation, and cultural appreciation.
Frustrated with the lack of Black history education in her middle school and high school curriculums, Cassidy created the web series "Fast Black History"in 2020, teaching her audience about Black historical figures in one minute or less. She received a special honor at the 2020 Streamy Awards for her other show focusing on Black creatives, "Black Girl Magic Minute." Beyond social media, she serves as a correspondent on Nickelodeon's "Nick News" and hosts a show on Sirius XM's TikTok Radio Channel.
Cassidy became the first youth speaker at the United Nations International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Additionally, she has been featured as a Forbes 30 Under 30 and in Teen Vogue's 21 Under 21 2021: The Young People Shaping Tomorrow. She delivered a TED talk entitled "Why Real Change is About More Than Just Going Viral," further establishing her as a pivotal figure in discussions about social change and empowerment.
