Teasi Cannon

Author of My Big Bottom Blessing

As a former middle school teacher, current women's public speaker, and survivor of a lifelong emotional battle with her body, Teasi Cannon is no stranger to body angst. But after experiencing a profound healing, she now loves what she sees in the mirror, and encourages women of all ages to join her in making this powerful switch: rather than aching to change how we look, let's allow God to change how we see.

"Women...refuse to wear shorts because of ugly veins, they are afraid to go out to eat with friends because they'll have to face food, and they avoid intimacy with their husbands because they are ashamed of their bodies. They feel like they have almost no value simply because of the size or shape of their bodies, and I understand. That was me for years. I want to help change that," says Teasi.

Today, Teasi is on a mission to reverse that thinking. She has a Master's in pastoral counseling, and speaks at churches, retreats, conferences, and the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Clinic. Her most popular topic is what Teasi calls her "miracle story." Teasi shares with audiences about how the work of the Holy Spirit in her life has given her the ability to love what she sees in the mirror, despite her "failure to look the way society says I should."

Teasi lives south of Nashville with her husband Bill and their three children, who together make up a family band: Loaded Cannon.
