Philanthropist, Entrepreneur & Retired U.S. Marine

Tee Marie Hanible is a U.S. Marine Retired GySgt, TV Personality, Activist, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and Author of Best Seller “The Warrior Code: 11 Principles to Unleash The BadAss Inside Of You”. Hanible spent 20 years actively serving in what is arguably labeled the toughest branch of military service. But this former foster kid from Chicago was raised in grit long before becoming a Marine helped her define it.

GySgt (Retired.) Tee Marie Hanible, is a Chicago native who after a rocky childhood enlisted into the Marine Corps in 1996 at the age of 17. In 2003, Hanible deployed as the only female in one of the first units to deploy to Iraq.

In August 2011 Hanible founded the nonprofit Operation Heroes Connect, an organization partnering service members and veterans as mentors for at-risk youth. Her organization also facilitates an annual weeklong overnight summer camp program, sending 100 children from the local DC, MD, and VA areas to camp each year for free. In 2012, Ms. Hanible was honored at the White House by President Barack Obama for her work both in and out of uniform and has been featured in Newsweek Magazine, Lifetime, The Washingtonian and The Chicago Tribune.

In 2016 Tee Hanible Co-starred alongside John Cena on FOX’s hit show “American Grit.” Hanible served as the National Veteran’s Chair for “Women’s March on D.C.” which drew an estimated 250,000 plus people to the Washington, D.C.

Tee is a national speaker and author of the acclaimed and best seller “The Warrior Code: 11 Principles to Unleash The Bad Ass Inside of You” as well as a fierce entrepreneur and owner/creator of Gritty Apparel and Soiled Beauty. Tee is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Maryland studying Medical Cannabis Science.

Tee is the proud mother of two daughters Destiny and Jasmine. She has received such accolades as the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Trailblazer of the Year and was named a D.C. Washingtonian of the Year, as well as the host of other awards.
